Private tour to Mostar and Kravice waterfalls
The Old Bridge is protected by UNESCO and is definitely the most popular sight in Mostar. It is located in the heart of the city, which is also under the protection of UNESCO. The original bridge was built by the Turks in 1566, but it was destroyed in the war in 1993. The bridge was renovated in 2004, and original materials were mostly used. It is located on the Neretva River and even in its renovated form represents Islamic architecture together with its two fortified towers, Halebija and Tara.
The Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque was built in 1619 and is located in the oldest part of Mostar, next to the Neretva River. This stunning sight of Ottoman architecture was also destroyed during the war, but it was not completely destroyed and was eventually rebuilt. The mosque houses an extraordinary collection of writings from the Koran and contains a carpet donated by the Austrian monarch Franz Joseph I. With the purchase of cheap tickets, you can climb the minaret for a spectacular view of the city.
After visiting Mostar, we go swimming under the spectacular Kravice waterfall on the Trebižat river.
