Plitvice Lakes National Park is the oldest and largest Croatian national park. It is famous for its magnificent tufa waterfalls that create clear lakes in the constant biodynamic process of tufa creation. As a result of this process, a series of 16 cascading large and several smaller lakes were created, which are the most picturesque part of this park. In 1979, UNESCO included the Plitvice Lakes in the list of world heritage sites due to its uniqueness, natural beauty and value as a national park. The national park has 16 beautiful lakes and over 90 waterfalls, so expect beautiful sights. Enjoy a half-hour boat ride across the largest lake in the park, Lake Kozjak.
